Delivering ‘world-class training’ for over 50 years
Eastwood Park says it has delivered ‘world-class training’ for over 50 years. The training establishment said: “Based in a spacious country setting, Eastwood Park is the ideal environment for training – one that creates a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. From introductory technical courses, certificated compliance training, and summer schools, through to foundation degrees and BSc level training – all the opportunities are available at Eastwood Park. We also offer training at your premises if you feel it would be more conducive to your team to learn in their own environment. Our facilities are truly unique, with a state-of-the-art ‘operating theatre’ nearing completion. We deliver highly practical training for biomedical engineers,
offering courses which provide new entrants to the healthcare sector with a solid understanding of biomedical equipment principles,
applications, and maintenance procedures. “Eastwood Park also has one of the UK’s only ‘live’ medical gas pipeline systems, and a decontamination laboratory featuring a wide range of equipment used in sterile services departments. Alongside all of this, our brand new training centre also
features both HV and LV facilities, and a comprehensive lift training lab – including fully working traction, MRL, and hydraulic lifts.”
Eastwood Park’s newly built training facility provides access to the latest technologies and enhanced practical training experiences, allowing delegates ‘to get hands-on’. It said: “Our experienced team will take care of
every detail, ensuring that your training with us is seamless.”

have worked hard to ensure that this year’s conference programme covers the most topical issues. For example, one of this year’s four conference streams is ‘Workforce’ – where among topics covered will be developing the workforce of the future, the need for a greater focus on, and investment in, apprenticeships, and for positive action to increase diversity in recruitment. A Net Zero conference stream will see Trusts’ EFM and sustainability personnel discuss meeting the NHS’s Net Zero carbon goals, some of the challenges, and how they are educating staff, patients, and local communities, on the actions they are taking. Tis year’s speakers will include the Chair
of Health Education England, the UK’s first Professor in Engineering for Sustainable Development, Trust CEOs, an adviser to SAGE on ventilation, indoor air quality, and infection control in the built environment, and a Consultant Clinical Scientist in Infection Prevention and Control at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Te exhibition will showcase some of the latest products, services, and technology targeted at the sector, while the Healthcare Estates IHEEM Awards Dinner will see excellence recognised, and the chance to network, and hear from the most capped female hockey player in England’s history. A Day Two aſternoon presentation will see one of rugby’s best-known personalities – former international rugby referee, Nigel Owens, discuss some of the things closest to his heart. Our comprehensive event preview on
pages 65-110 includes a show introduction, focusing on the highlights, while the following pages incorporate the full conference programme, an exhibitor floorplan and exhibitor list, and contributions from over 80 exhibitors. Healthcare Estates 2022 should be a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues, hear from expert speakers, and learn about some of the latest advances from manufacturers in a sector where technology and innovation can make a major difference both to the efficient operation of the healthcare estate, and patient care.
