Integral blinds ‘balance privacy and observational needs’

Leading UK integral blind manufacturer, Morley Glass, will launch its new integral blind system, ScreenView – which is designed for health and social care environments – on stand G26 at Healthcare Estates 2022. The company explained: “ScreenView is an innovative blind that fits within the cavity of a double-glazed unit. It provides a solution for applications including hospital and medical school door vision panels because of the way it balances privacy and observational needs, and is switchable, with ease, for different times of the day. “Permanently sealed within the glass unit, the blind is never exposed to dirt or germs, so stays pristine over its lifespan

Healthcare lighting challenges unpicked

Lighting healthcare environments has always presented ‘a unique set of challenges’, not least fulfilling the ‘specialist, often complex needs’ of patients or clinicians, and maximising operational efficiency by reducing energy bills, says Whitecroft Lighting. It said: “Increasingly, lighting also needs to work more harmoniously with existing structures and hardware, thus reducing waste and the need for new materials. Make sure you work with a lighting designer and manufacturer that understands healthcare. With decades of experience in lighting healthcare environments, Whitecroft Lighting brings thousands of hours of experience

and knowledge to every project. We can quickly decipher the most effective way to achieve your goals.

“Visit our Healthcare Lighting team, led by Karen Bramman, on stand B9, and discover how Whitecroft’s Vitality Relight solution is embracing the principles of the circular economy. Stand visitors will also be able to take away ‘Shining a Light on Net Zero’ – a free guide to five key considerations when balancing carbon reduction with other key lighting outcomes, such as health and wellbeing.”
