March 2026 LK Metrology Intros CT System for Shop Floor Use
BRIGHTON, MI —LK Metrology has introduced the innovative COREX 250 from Ready Metrology, the holding group’s brand that develops easy-to-use X-ray CT as well as CMM solutions for shop floor applications. The new in- dustrial computed tomogra- phy system is designed for the production environment and features a 9.1 in. (230 mm) cube working volume. It brings non-contact inspection and metrology into the factory to enable non-destructive in- ternal inspection of complex parts in seconds. Unlike traditional in-
dustrial CT systems, which are often prohibitively expensive, bulky and designed as all-pur-
pose laboratory tools, the COREX 250 is purpose-built for the production line. While stan- dard systems require complex setups to handle any possible part, COREX 250 focuses on specific production needs. Instead of one oversized ma- chine, the COREX series is available in three optimized sizes. This specialization al- lows for pre-defined configura- tions and enhanced X-ray sources tailored to the cus- tomer’s specific materials. The COREX 250 is engi-

neered for the shop floor, not just the laboratory. Designed for speed of operation, it can
inspect rubber, plastic or carbon fiber components in 20 to 30 sec- onds. For denser materials like aluminium, magnesium and tita- nium, inspection times remain exceptionally fast at 40 to 50 sec- onds.
A key innovation of the
COREX 250 is its onboard inte- grated software. Unlike tradi- tional systems that require com- plex external software, the CT system handles everything inter- nally, giving immediate results. This simplicity removes the bar- rier of specialized metrology training. Shop floor operators do not need to be metrologists; they simply press a button to receive accurate, easy-to-interpret re- sults through a simplified soft-
ware interface. Contact: LK Metrology, Inc.,

OES VAN NUYS, CA — To comple- ment the Optimal Engineering Systems’ (OES) expanding line of motorized positioning stages, OES has added the Sonata series of motion control systems. The Sonata series of countertop stand- alone controllers are cost effective solutions for controlling and driv- ing single and multi-axis stepper and servo motor driven position- ing stages. This series is designed for users without prior knowledge of motion control technology. The user may control the position of single or multi axis stages using a keypad or a joystick. These compact, low cost,

plug-and-play, standalone mo- tion controllers are easily con- nected to the positioning stage and do not require a PC to oper- ate. Control of 1, 2 or 3-axis stages is via the keypad and dig- ital display or a joystick. Each Sonata motion con-
troller includes the keypad, digi- tal display, power supply, and the appropriate motor drivers for 1, 2 or 3 axes of motion. This se- ries accommodates two-phase stepper motors, brushless DC servo motors or brushed DC ser- vo motors with quadrature incre- mental optical encoders. The stepper motors can have quadra- ture incremental optical en-
coders for position verification. Contact: Optimal
