ADVERTORIAL
So, is Tork PeakServe just a big dispenser? The answer is no. It turns out size isn’t everything when it comes to dispensers. Up to now when equipping the washrooms of high-traffic venues, FMs have had to choose between a hand towel roll or a folded towel dispenser. Each type of system has its attributes, but neither is ideal.
A hand towel roll offers high capacity but it can be difficult to predict when it will run out in a busy washroom that has erratic visitor patterns. Even the largest of hand towel roll dispensers typically only holds up to 400 towels.
It takes just three seconds for a washroom visitor to take out a towel and move on.
Folded towel dispensers are easier to keep stocked since they can be topped up at any time. However, they usually offer a lower capacity since a large dispenser for folded towels can cause its own problems. The more hand towels there are in a dispenser, the harder they will be to pull out because of the weight pressing down on the towels at the bottom. Washroom visitors may make two or three attempts at taking out a towel from an oversized or overstuffed dispenser and may withdraw several by mistake or accidentally tear off pieces of towel before withdrawing a whole one.
Meanwhile, the discarded scraps of paper will be left lying on the floor where they will create a messy appearance.

A cleaner will need to clear them up, which may add to labour costs, so an oversized dispenser alone is not the answer to capacity issues.
How does Tork PeakServe solve these problems? One Tork PeakServe unit contains over 2,000 towels. These are divided into five bundles, which are linked together inside the dispenser to ensure a continuous supply. The hand towels are delivered in a continuous loop from the top in a similar way to that of a roller towel. This means there is no pull force and the problem of tabbing is eliminated.
Tork PeakServe may be a big dispenser, but that’s only part of the story. And despite its larger-than-average dimensions, the slimline design of the unit means it blends in seamlessly with the rest of the Tork Elevation dispenser range.
How does all this help the facilities manager? Not only does Tork PeakServe solve the issue of tabbing, it also halves the amount of time spent refilling since fewer maintenance checks need to be made with such a high capacity dispenser. Cleaners can also top up the unit when it suits them, since more guests are served between refills.
Refilling only takes a matter of seconds as the cleaner can simply insert another bundle into the dispenser during a standard maintenance check. This frees up time for other, more important cleaning tasks. Since the towels are compressed by 50%, too, double the amount can be stored in the same space.
