A REVOLUTION IN DISPENSING

Tork PeakServe® Continuous® Hand Towel will be a game changer for facilities managers in high-traffic washrooms, explains Essity Commercial Director Nathan Titheridge.

Large crowds can impose a major strain on the washrooms of busy venues. When queues form in the toilets of sports stadiums and concert halls it can lead to frustration, frayed tempers and disturbances.

In airports, too, crowded washrooms can be a problem since most people queueing will have a flight to catch. If the dispensers have been allowed to run out during busy periods, even more pressure will be placed on those few toilets and sinks that still have supplies.

Dirty and overcrowded washrooms are the biggest concern for customers at high-traffic venues. A recent survey commissioned by Tork and carried out online by IPSOS revealed that a bad washroom experience ranked higher than crowd disorder, long queues or poor food and drink standards on people’s lists of negatives when attending a stadium. It is against this background that we have launched new Tork PeakServe®

Continuous® Hand Towel.

congestion and free up more time for visitors to spend in the food, drink and retail outlets.

How can Tork PeakServe achieve all this? Tork PeakServe is an easy-to-use, ultra-high-capacity dispenser that holds 2,130 towels; it can serve more than 1,000 guests between refills – 600 more than existing dispensers.

Hand towels in Tork PeakServe dispensers are compressed during production to make them twice as compact as standard towels. The patented filling and delivery system ensures a continuous supply of hand towels without any risk of jamming.

It takes just three seconds for a washroom visitor to take out a towel and move on. Even the most powerful of air dryers typically take 10-12 seconds to dry the hands, which means Tork PeakServe could reduce hand-drying time by around 75%. Faster drying frees up washroom space and allows queues to move more quickly leaving guests free to head to the food and drink concessions.
