These concerns also have much wider resonance. FMs in a variety of environments are responsible for high-traffic washrooms, and as such the appeal of Tork PeakServe spreads far beyond the stadium gates. In fact, it has now been installed in such diverse environments as airports, shopping centres, schools, hospitals, zoos and large manufacturing sites. So what is the system’s appeal in these sectors?
Airports, shopping centres and visitor attractions all have similar problems to those of a stadium. These are busy environments where traffic patterns are erratic and where visitor spikes are difficult to predict. So Tork PeakServe works well because it caters for large numbers of users before running out.
Meanwhile, large manufacturing sites are choosing Tork PeakServe because high levels of washroom congestion can occur in these environments during scheduled work breaks. A faster-delivery, high-capacity hand towel helps to relieve washroom queues and provide employees with more time to enjoy their break.
And cash-strapped facilities such as schools and hospitals are finding there are strong economic reasons for installing the system, too. “Tork PeakServe ticks many boxes for different sectors,” said Nathan. “Besides improving efficiency and customer satisfaction it also helps to keep down costs in healthcare and educational establishments where budgets are always a challenge.
“The fact that the Tork PeakServe hand towel supply lasts much longer than that of any other dispenser is a huge advantage in schools and hospitals. Fewer dispenser run- outs mean that fewer maintenance checks are required and the number of cleaning rounds can be reduced - allowing time to be focused elsewhere.”
From the facility services manager’s point of view, Tork PeakServe eases the cleaner’s burden because the system also halves the amount of time spent refilling. Hand towels in the patented Tork PeakServe system have been compressed by 50% during production to make them twice as compact as standard hand towels which means double the number fits into the dispenser.
The 2,130 towels in the Tork PeakServe unit are divided into five bundles which are linked together inside the dispenser to ensure a continuous supply. A new bundle may be inserted into the dispenser within seconds at any time, which means that it can be topped up whenever it suits the cleaner.
Less time spent refilling frees up more time for other essential cleaning tasks. And the fact that the towels are compressed during production means that double the amount will fit on to a trolley – again reducing the number of trips to the store cupboard and making life easier for the cleaner.
Tork PeakServe will take centre stage on the Tork stand at this year’s Interclean in Amsterdam from May 15-18. And the versatility and ingenuity of Tork PeakServe has led to the system achieving second place in both the Tomorrow’s FM and Tomorrow’s Cleaning Awards 2018.
