GREEN SEAL FOR AMERICO’S WECOLINE FULL
CYCLE PADS Wecovi has announced that all 16 Wecoline Full Cycle floor pads in the product range have earned the Green Seal certificate for Environmental Innovation.
Recently it was announced that the recycled base component that makes up the Wecoline Full Cycle pads by Americo were up to the Green Seal environmental standards too.
By earning the Green Seal certificate, Wecovi puts itself apart from other floor pad suppliers. The floor pads have earned the Green Seal certificate because all floor pads by Americo are made from 100% recycled biodegradeable materials.
As with other products, floor pad innovation has been following
the green trend for over 10 years. Wecoline Full Cycle pads by Americo are made exclusively from recycled PET plastic from soda and water bottles. By using recycled plastic, Wecoline is preventing millions of plastic bottles from ending up in landfills every year. As the materials are biodegradeable, they deteriorate faster than conventional pads, which in turn reduces the amount of waste in landfills.

ON GERM CONTROL Washroom hygiene specialists P-Wave has announced the launch of two new patented systems to help reduce the spread of germs from door handles in high risk areas, such as kitchens and washrooms.
The new P-Hold fits over the existing door handle – it comes in three sizes and takes just 30 seconds to install – and the P-Plate replaces the existing push plate when there is no handle.
Both systems are long lasting and low maintenance. They don’t require films, sleeves or gels and instead utilise silver ion technology which interrupts the formation of chemical bonds essential to the survival of bacteria’s cells. Silver has long been used in hospitals for its anti-bacterial properties, but there has never previously been a cost effective way to use it more widely in this way.
