Tragically, over the past few weeks we’ve seen just how vulnerable the world still is to the Coronavirus as the wretched disease has wrought havoc to India, bringing the country's healthcare system to its knees.. More than a year on from the first
lockdowns and months on from vaccines rolling out, the world’s worst COVID-19 outbreak is only now unravelling before our eyes.
It’s a devastating reminder that no matter how close to being back to ‘normality’
we feel we are, viruses like COVID are pervasive and easily spread. It’s important to remember that cleaning and hygiene are vital as we safely reopen workplaces and
public spaces, and are key to both protecting people and recovering economies. We’ll be fighting COVID for a long time, and our industry will continue to be on the frontline as new variants come and go.
In this issue of Tomorrow’s Cleaning, we’ve got a big feature focus on Training and Education, with Joel from Kärcher Academy outlining the importance of training in order to maximise the performance of cleaning, Gill from Robert Scott highlights the areas businesses need to be aware of in order to maintain a safe workplace in a
post-COVID world, while Facilicom UK MD, Jan-Hein Hemke, extolls the importance of equipping cleaning operatives with the right skills to manage infection risks.
We also take a look at the world of Commercial Laundry, with David from Regenex explaining how new technology makes it easier to ensure commercial linen lasts longer, while Christeyns ensure sustained freshness from encapsulated softener technology. We’ve also got features from Kennedy Hygiene, Northwood Hygiene Products and WEPA in our Paper & Disposables section.
Thank you very much for reading, please stay safe and enjoy the issue!
