WELCOME TO THE TOMORROW’S CONTRACT FLOORS YEARBOOK 2016/17.

Since I began as Acting Editor of Tomorrow’s Contract Floors, I have enjoyed learning about the industry and the latest developments.

With technology constantly advancing, the contract flooring industry is forever changing, bringing lots of news on the latest innovations set to revolutionise the sector. Such changes in technology and society in general impact greatly on the design aspect. From modern industrial-style aesthetics to the resurgence of reclaimed wood and authentic looks, this year has seen a wide range of trends, incorporated in the products of many manufacturers and distributors.

From vinyl flooring through to sealants and adhesives, we have an extensive contact list of key companies in the flooring industry, listed alphabetically by industry sector. Providing you with a definitive guide to the flooring trade, our annual handbook tells you all you need to know about the latest products and services in the industry. Make sure you are organised for the year to come with our What’s On guide on page 15, providing you with a calendar of dates for all the biggest flooring industry events happening in the UK and abroad.

Following the economic downturn, sales of contract floorcoverings hit a low point in 2011, with the sector also experiencing difficulty in 2012 and 2013. However, things started to pick up in 2014 and 2015, with the estimated growth to have been around 4% in 2015, according to AMA Research. Our feature from AMA Research, on Page 6, shows the current state of the contract floorcoverings market and outlines the reasons behind its recovery.

With a digital and print version, it simply couldn’t be easier to have all of the information you need at hand.

I hope you enjoy the read and I look forward to bringing you more exciting news and features from the forefront of the industry in the year to come!
