Established in 1973 and a leading player in both residential and commercial flooring markets, Karndean specialises in developing contemporary designs that have the look and feel of natural materials whilst offering a host of practical features and benefits relating to installation, durability and maintenance.
Starting life as a family run business in the UK and still family owned today, Karndean has its head office in Evesham, which is home to over 200 employees working in product design, management, marketing and sales across the company’s residential and commercial divisions.
Being the hub of the company’s international business operations, the Evesham site incorporates UK and international business, a state-of-the-art showroom, purpose built warehouse and professional training facilities - creating a centre of excellence that all customers, from specifiers and flooring contractors to end users, are welcome to visit seven days a week.
Showcasing Karndean’s complete residential and commercial flooring collections and with over 900m2
of flooring installed across
two floors, the showroom has been designed to inform and inspire visitors and provides a great resource for architects, designers and contractors seeking solutions for flooring projects.
Alongside a dedicated sample wall showcasing more than 150 wood, stone and iconic designs, a live product demonstration stage and design tables, there is also a dedicated team of in-house design experts on hand to offer free interior design flooring consultations.
MAKING COMMERCIAL SENSE Installed in some of the country’s most demanding commercial environments including retail, healthcare, leisure, education and office work spaces, the company’s commercial division offers comprehensive support and industry leading specification tools to help ensure that the most suitable products are installed.
A number of new product launches are planned for 2016 to join an already extensive choice of commercial designflooring ranges.
New for 2016, Karndean has expanded its popular Van Gogh Wood collection introducing 12 new colours.
Inspired by reclaimed natural wood materials, the twelve distinct new plank designs replicate the unique look that comes from the transformation of wood over time, in addition to processes such as burning, liming and smoking.
The four groups, French Oaks, American Redwood, Scottish Beech and Mexican Cypress ensure a grain and colour palette to suit a wide variety of commercial projects.
Designed to offer unparalleled flexibility, Karndean is also planning to launch its new Kaleidoscope collection this year, containing six designs as standard including Cubix, Pennon and Apex. It features popular shapes and patterns, such as hexagons, chevrons and cubes to name but a few, that can be cut in a number of colour combinations across Karndean’s established wood and stone designs. Kaleidoscope also introduces block colourways, giving designers the ability to specify bright colours against wood and stone in commercial spaces.
Kaleidoscope designs will push the boundaries of LVT floor designs, allowing complete freedom for unique shapes, sizes, colour combinations and patterns. The only limit is your imagination.
