WOOD FINISHES & ACCESSORIES | BONA

INDOOR AIR QUALITY Bona lacquers, primers and retail cleaning products are GREENGUARD certified.

The globally-recognised GREENGUARD Certification is part of UL Environment, a business unit of UL (Underwriters Laboratories). GREENGUARD Certification helps manufacturers create, and buyers identify, interior products and materials that have low chemical emissions, improving the quality of the air in which the products are used.

TRAINING FOR CONTRACTORS AND

DISTRIBUTORS Bona offers two levels of training to contractors: an in-depth four- day course for experienced contractors leading to ‘Bona Certified Contractor’ status, and a one-day sanding and finishing course for those new to the industry. The company also offers free product training for distributors.

A BONA-FIDE EXPERT ON WOOD

Bona, manufacturer of wooden floor care products, has almost a century’s worth of

experience in providing everything you need to create the best possible wood floor finish.

Bona is a world-recognised brand, best known for its core range of finishes for wood floors. Bona was established in Sweden in 1919 and, today, the brand is available in more than 90 countries through subsidiaries and distributors.

The Bona System contains everything needed to bring out the best in wood floors. The range includes abrasives, sanding machines – including a dustfree sanding system, adhesives, coatings and products for the ongoing maintenance of all types of wood floor in domestic, commercial or public environments. Together, these products combine to deliver Bona’s promise of ‘Lifetime Support’ to specifiers, contractors and floor owners throughout the lifetime of a wood floor.

LOW VOC FORMULATIONS Since 1997, the Association for the Control of Emissions in Building Materials (GEV), certifies low-emission construction products with the quality mark GEV EMICODE. Bona lacquers were the first in the industry to be awarded the EMICODE EC1 trademark. Bona’s reactive adhesives also carry this important classification. All adhesives and surface treatments used in new installations in Germany have to meet the stringent DIBt standard that governs the safety of indoor air quality. Most Bona adhesives and coatings also meet this certification.

MARKETING SUPPORT A range of point of sale materials is available for retailers and distributors, and the company works hard to promote its Certified Contractor network to prospective domestic and professional clients.

BONA RENTAL SYSTEM Bona is a member of the Hire Association Europe and offers a range of sanding machines and abrasives specially suited to the hire market.

SUPPORT FOR SPECIFIERS Whether you are looking for extra slip-resistance in a school corridor, extreme durability for a busy airport environment, or a non-reflective surface for a new home; the Bona technical team can help identify the correct specification. Bona is a RIBA- approved CPD provider and offers seminars for architects on the specification of finishes for wood floors and another on the installation of wood floors using adhesives.

Bona’s products can be found in the RIBA Product Selector and are indexed in the NBS Plus product library and the Construction Information Service (CIS).
