COVER STORY EGGER DESIGN+
FLOORING: A NEW TAKE ON NATURAL ROOTS
With 20 years of experience in flooring manufacture, EGGER has developed a new, high-performance, wood-based design floor that can be used commercially and privately.
As a family business, EGGER has a reputation as a complete supplier, built up over several generations. EGGER is no longer exclusively a laminate flooring specialist, but is also an expert in wood-based flooring solutions.
Following an innovation concept, when developing the new flooring class, EGGER is focused on customer needs. Today, a floor must look good, be easy to clean and stress-resistant. In addition, a price/performance ratio must be right.
EGGER reacts to these needs with a wood-based design floor: EGGER DESIGN+ FLOORING – compact, resistant, comfortable, easy-care, flexible in use, naturally based on wood, 100% free of PVC and plasticisers.
A FLOOR WITH MEMORY A unique memory function is a key advantage when compared to other design floors: The SelfRepair effect transforms the new EGGER flooring class into something special. If there are surface indentations, for example the marks of furniture feet, the molecules "remember" their initial position and return quickly into their original place. The floor looks new again!
EGGER DESIGN+ FLOORING isn't only good for the environment, but is also pleasing to the eye. Decades of EGGER trend experience have resulted in 20 contemporary wood and stone looks for the new flooring category.
Customers don't need to make a choice between an extremely resistant floor, a modern aesthetic, or an environmentally-friendly flooring design, neither in the commercial/public sector, nor in private spaces. EGGER DESIGN+ FLOORING is the right choice where a floor must be able to stand a lot of use.
EGGER DESIGN+ FLOORING - A NEW
FLOORING ERA With EGGER DESIGN+ FLOORING, a new era of design floors is beginning. The wood-based materials manufacturer has merged a natural, wood-based flooring with the properties of plastic-based design floors.
The floor's top layer consists of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). This elastic, completely harmless to health, odourless and low- emission material is included in countless products, from the smartphone cover to shoe soles to medical infusion tubes. The core of EGGER's new design floor consists of a double-sealed, high- density, wood-based coreboard - The Ultra Wood Fibre Board (UWF).
TOMORROW’S CONTRACT FLOORS YEARBOOK 2016/17
Five-millimetre compact, robust, easy-care, moisture-resistant, lightfast and anti-slip; the floor offers a pleasant walking experience and is 100% suitable for commercial environments.
Depending on the area of application, the floor is suitable for both floating and full-surface glueing. It is suitable for restaurants, residential homes or sport studios and ideal in a private space also subjected to a lot of wear. EGGER's design floor is particularly well-suited for connecting open living and working environments. The new flooring category has high expectations in the commercial composite flooring market due to the natural and yet robust product qualities.
