BioBax reach a milestone license and supply agreement with Aqdot.
BioBax, owner of the UK-based environment-friendly professional cleaning brand Zybax, has partnered with Aqdot, the Cambridge-based supramolecular chemistry company, for the professional cleaning market.
Removing tough, lingering, obnoxious malodours is a key challenge for the professional cleaning industry and Zybax has a strong, successful 20-year history as the UK leader in biologicals and developing products that work. As a specialist in odour elimination, this new product is a revolution for the company to continue to innovate with the best technology in the market.
BioBax, with their Zybax range, introduces the new Advance air freshener which will utilise Aqdot’s patented supramolecular chemistry, AqFresh. Its versatile performance chemistry is exceptional at capturing, holding and releasing materials; in this case, capturing malodour molecules and eliminating them from the air.
A highly effective odour counteractant, it has been extensively tested and proven to cut human, food, washroom and pet generated smells. With demonstrated advanced fragrance benefits, AqFresh will extend the life of our perfumes, delivering a much longer, fresher fragrance experience.
AqFresh has also been scientifically proven to inhibit allergens, and so it helps to safely remove odours and allergens from soft furnishings and fabrics including dust mites, pollen, cat and dog dander allergens on contact, when sprayed.

AqFresh is a patented technology and consists of cucurbiturils – barrel-shaped molecules that powerfully attract and capture volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to eliminate them. They act rapidly and keep on working for lasting freshness, removing stubborn and obnoxious lingering odours like vomit, urine, faeces, kitchen garbage, tobacco, pet and food smells and strong industrial waste.
BioBax is launching the technology in a brand new instant odour eliminator and air freshener range called Advance. Following in early 2021 will be Zybax’s signature microbiological products, which will combine AqFresh with the biological power of both bacteria and enzymes, breaking down odours at the source.
