MAPEI ULTRATOP REVOLUTIONARY FLOOR SYSTEM

In recent years, the popularity of cementitious and resin flooring has risen massively due to the products’ strength and versatility. The main benefit of such flooring systems for industrial floors is that they can be locked both mechanically and chemically into the substrate, thus becoming an integral part of the structure and providing a long lasting, hard wearing surface.

Mapei’s Ultratop System is a self-levelling, cementitious flooring system that can be used in both industrial and domestic environments to provide a fast and flexible solution to smooth over new

and existing concrete and ceramic substrates. The product is supplied in powder form, which is then mixed with water to produce a self levelling pumpable flooring layer.
With ultrafast setting speeds, Ultratop can be used for levelling differences in thickness from 5 - 40mm. Due to its high mechanical strength and resistance to abrasion, Ultratop can be left as a finished floor – that is robust enough for use in industrial warehouses that are subject to heavy goods vehicular traffic and footfall.
Mapei’s Mapefloor system is a complete range of epoxy and polyurethane systems ideal for creating self- levelling or multi-layered, resin finished industrial strength floors.
Mapefloor I 320 SL Concept, an epoxy floor coating, is available in 5 colours and incorporates a highly aesthetic granular effect – that is ideal for commercial flooring.
Mapefloor I 300 SL is a neutral coloured epoxy that can be coloured with Mapecolor Paste, a
colouring agent available in 19 RAL colours, to provide both durable and striking floor finishes.
Mapefloor I 300 SL is suitable for manufacturing facilities, warehouses, hotels, showrooms and domestic applications.
Mapecoat I 24, is a protective epoxy paint for concrete and cementitious substrates. Available in white grey and neutral, it is resistant to acids, alkalis, salts, oils hydrocarbons and solvents and can also be coloured using Mapecolor Paste. In addition to industrial use Mapecoat I 24 is popular for use in hospitals, schools and transport projects.
The Mapefloor systems have a number of distinct benefits such as good abrasion and chemical resistance, a very strong bond to most substrates, impermeable to liquids and easy to keep clean. Mapefloor comes as a complete system with all the associated primers, intermediate coats and finishing coats to give a single flexible system to meet the needs of each individual installation- whether it is functional or decorative.
Product systems can be selected according to the conditions specific to the location where they are to be installed or alternatively they can be selected for their aesthetic properties. Mapei produce clear technical literature detailing the functions and benefits of each system as well as a colourful fold out binder with actual samples within.
Once a system has been chosen, in order to get the best possible result, Mapei’s technical representatives can provide a written specification in the form of a National Building Specification and general advice. Often this may require a site visit to determine a number of key points in order that the floor delivers the result the installers expect.
