INTERESTED IN SPEAKING ON CARPET RECYCLING?
Carpet Recycling UK, the industry-backed association for recycling and reusing waste carpet, has issued a call for papers for potential speakers to address its two- day annual conference on 5th and 6th July.
Its second annual conference at Birmingham’s Institute of Engineering and Technology will focus on Design for Recycling and includes an Entrepreneurs Event, which aims to share knowledge and latest technological developments with delegates.
Open to both members and
non-members, interested speakers are asked to submit an abstract of no more than 500 words on their chosen topic by 30th April. Synopses should be sent to Jane Gardner of recycling specialists Axion Consulting, which manages the scheme.
CRUK Co-ordinator Jane Gardner comments:
“The Entrepreneur Events is aimed at encouraging recyclers and businesses to look at carpet recyclate as a valuable raw material and resource that can be given a second life in new
applications, such as ‘green’ roofs, equestrian surface mixtures or land reclamation.
“We’re hoping to attract speakers on a range of subjects to share knowledge and encourage wider reuse of carpet waste and its diversion from landfill. Topics could include results from collection and recycling trials or re-use initiatives, for example.”

What you really need is an easy to use website that features all industry relevant manufacturers under one roof, where you have the
ability to narrow down your search to pull out a handful of products that exactly meet your criteria. And Syncros, the entrance matting specialists, have developed a new website that does exactly that.
Another unique feature is the new “Design Your Own” function, which enables you to create unique designs for your installation of
Milliken Forma entrance matting. Set the size of the installation then simply click and drag to create your unique pattern, it even adds your design to a virtual entrance so you can show your client how it will look!
