An Post introduces a new range of environmentally friendly cleaning products


An Post, Ireland’s national mail carrier and fi nancial services provider, was faced with a challenge in 2011. The company aimed to move away from a large number of ready-to-use cleaning products, with many different suppliers, to a single solution system with one supplier. At the conclusion of a very competitive tender process, Bunzl were awarded the national cleaning product supplier contract.


An Post’s new environmentally friendly cleaning range was rolled out in March and April of 2011. The scope of the project was to source a new range of environmentally-friendly cleaning and washroom consumables and to implement a cohesive nationwide purchasing policy for all An Post properties. The project was based on trials, which had already been successful in the GPO and selected Mail Centres.
