Hilding Anders appoints chief digital officer to lead DTC strategy


Bed manufacturing giant, Hilding Anders, has appointed Jason Forbes to oversee its direct-to- consumer (DTC) growth strategy. Forbes, a former Capgemini, Time Warner and Coty executive, joins the group as president of online brands and group chief digital officer and will be jointly responsible for the launch of a multi- brand digital hub in Copenhagen. This will include recruiting and building a team of 80 people in early 2021, including cross brand domain experts across marketing science, product innovation, digital marketing, marketplaces and omnichannel management.


Yoox Net-A-Porter names


new chief executive Yoox Net-A-Porter has announced the appointment of Geoffroy Lefebvre as chief executive. Lefebvre, who is currently group digital distribution director at Richemont, will take over the role at the luxury eCommerce retailer from 4 January 2021. He succeeds Federico Marchetti, who will remain chairman of the group. Johann Rupert, Chairman of Richemont, commented: “Richemont’s digital journey, since our first investment in Net-A-Porter in 2002, to my encounter with a visionary entrepreneur, Federico Marchetti, that led in 2015 to the creation of the Yoox Net-A-Porter Group, then its acquisition in 2018, has been fascinating in many ways.”

first female CFO Athletic apparel retailer, LuluLemon Athletica has promoted Meghan Frank to chief financial officer. Frank, who joined Lululemon in 2016, moved into her new role at the Vancouver-headquartered firm in November.

chief executive PMM – one of Europe’s leading international consumer electronics retailers – has announced the appointment of Joern Taubert as chief executive. Taubert most recently held the position of group CEO for the German online marketplace, Verivox, a technology company and online marketplace for home services with a focus on energy, banking, insurance and telecoms.


Boohoo appoints Leveson


to probe its supply chain Boohoo has announced the appointment former court judge, Sir Brian Leveson PC, to provide an interdependent oversight of the group’s supply chain. This comes after a heavily publicised independent review earlier this year, led by Alison Levitt QC, found “many failings” in the online fashion retailer’s Leicester supply chain and made a number of recommendations. According to Boohoo, Leveson’s work will focus on the group’s ‘Agenda for Change’ programme. He will report directly to the board and his reports will be published, Boohoo said.


The Very Group appoints


chief information officer Online retailer, The Very Group, has appointed Matt Grest as chief information officer. He will become part of the group’s executive board and report to chief executive Henry Birch. He joins on 21 December from the BBC, where he led a 400-strong team of technologists as director of digital platforms. At Very he will lead the group’s 350-strong technology team as it continues to transform its technology and platforms, enhances access to, and analysis of, data, and further improve ways of working to deliver positive changes to the customer experience.


Hermes UK names chairman Tony De Nunzio CBE has been appointed as non-executive chairman to the shareholder bard at consumer delivery company, Hermes UK. He joins with a remit to help guide the company through its next stage of growth and development. The appointment follows the conclusion of a significant investment deal by Advent International (‘Advent’), one of the largest and most experienced global private equity firms, that was announced earlier this year.


ScS appoints Steve Carson


as group chief executive Furniture retailer, ScS, has announced the appointment of Steve Carson as group chief executive, effective 6 January. Carson will replace David Knight who plans to retire next year and has was most recently group managing director of Holland and Barrett. Prior to this, he held a number of roles at Home Retail Group.


Venture Forge names


chief operating officer Yorkshire marketplace agency has named Jonathan Newton as its chief operating officer. Newton previously held senior eCommerce roles with Wilko, Mars Petcare and Staples. He will now take responsibility for business growth at the agency which is working for a number of retailers to improve their performance on global marketplaces including eBay and Amazon.


Westfield owner appoints


group chief executive The owner of the Westfield shopping centre chain has appointed Jean-Marie Tritant as group chief executive. Tritant will join Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield on 1 January as chairman of the management board and group chief executive, succeeding Christophe Culliver.
