Sharon White appoints director for John Lewis The John Lewis Partnership has recruited Pippa Wicks as its executive director. The role encompasses trading, merchandising, marketing and the development of propositions and services for the department store chain. Ms Wicks replaces Paula Nickolds who left the business in January.


New FD appointment at Sosandar Online fashion business Sosandar has confirmed that Stephen Dilks will join its team as finance director in September. Dilks is currently finance director for Regatta. At Sosandar he replaces James Bowling who, is moving on to new pastures but, stays in his role until he is able to complete a handover to Dilks in September.


Steve Marjoram named MD of Parcelhub Whistl has announced that Steve Marjoram has become the new managing director of Parcelhub. Marjoram has served as finance director at the company for 4 years and replaces Mark Rosenberg who has moved to an advisory role until the end of the year. Rosenberg, who created the business Mail Workshop nearly 20 years ago, launched Parcelhub in 2010.


New CEO sought for Hunter Hunter CEO Vincent Wauters is set to leave the business at the end of July. Meanwhile, Paolo Porta will take up the role of interim CEO, joining from Jimmy Choo, while the search for a permanent replacement for Wauters gets underway.


Card Factory seeks new CEO Karen Hubbard will leave Card Factory this week following four years as its CEO. The role will initially be covered by chairman Paul Moody as a search gets underway for Hubbard’s successor. The business said in a statement: “Now is an appropriate time to transition to new leadership committed to the longer term successful implementation of the next phase of the group’s return to growth.” Moody said: “The board would like to thank Karen for her important contribution to the company, made with passion and commitment, over the last four years. The group has a strong customer proposition, the correct strategy for the next phase of development and a highly capable leadership team to deliver it.”


42 UKFast names new CEO


UKFast has appointed Ian Brown as its CEO. Brown, who joins from Booking Go, part of booking.com, where he was CEO, replaces Lawrence Jones who stepped down last Autumn following allegations of sexual misconduct. UKFast is now majority-owned by Inflexion which acquired shares from Lawrence and Gail Jones in May.


New CEO for Hugo Boss


Hugo Boss has appointed the former Tommy Hilfiger boss Daniel Grieder as its new chief executive. Grieder had held the top job at Tommy Hilfiger Europe since 2008, before being promoted to the chief executive of Tommy Hilfiger Global and PVH Europe in 2014. He will join Hugo Boss in June next year, replacing Mark Langer, who steps down in September.


Date set for Price to join M&S


Richard Price whose most recent role was CEO for F&F Clothing joined M&S on July 6th, which was earlier than scheduled. He will assume the role of managing director for clothing & home which was vacated by Jill Macdonald last summer. “Richard joins us at a crucial time,” commented M&S CEO Steve Rowe. “I am confident that his leadership of a much- strengthened team and track record of delivery growth through great value, stylish product will accelerate the transformation of our clothing and home business and build on the improvements in product, value and availability over the past year.” Meanwhile Stephen Langford returns to M&S to head up eCommerce for its clothing & home division. The eCommerce director role reports to clothing & home managing director, Richard Price, who joins from Tesco in July.


Mothercare interim CEO departs Glyn Hughes, interim CEO at Mothercare left the beleaguered business at the end of June. Mothercare confirmed that Hughes, who previously held the role of CFO with the business, had declined to be considered for the CEO role on a permanent basis. Mothercare will be relocating to smaller head office premises in August and has sub-leased part of its main warehouse to a third party, all in a bid to reduce overheads.
