DCA UPDATE

DCA Update W

e have been mega-busy over the past two months supporting members’ requests for information on a range

of issues as well as recommending suppliers for many project requirements. Of course, in ‘normal times’ we would by now have held the DCA’s Annual Summit and the Direct Commerce Awards and have turned to securing speakers and venues for DCA’s Autumn events. Sadly we have to now look at 2021 for recommencement of live conferences and networking days but remain committed to delivering a programme of training, information sharing and business development opportunities.

Behind the scenes we are developing a number of training modules which can be accessed online having secured partial funding from the DM Trust. Work is underway now on a new transactional extension to our website to enable efficient delivery of these courses. Trainers are working on content and we hope to be able to live-test the first few courses in the Autumn. This will enable member company executives to access courses where and when is most convenient, removing the need for travel which, understandably, many will be reluctant to do in the current climate.

We’re delighted to share the news that More2 are now DCA Bronze sponsors. We’re now planning a series of virtual ‘Behind Closed Doors’ style events with them – the first of which will be taking place in September. This will enable MDs and CEOs to come together for open discussion on pressing business issues as the future for their businesses unfolds. Participation will be by invitation starting from mid-August.
