Ovens, Furnaces & Heating Equipment Vacuum Oven Range Combines Superior Temperature Control and Safety Features

The Being line of Vacuum Ovens offer a variety of sizes to fit the different needs of the users. Due to design, the Being vacuum oven offers more usable space then similarly sized ovens. A large viewing window allows the user to quickly view their samples from a distance. The Being controller offers superior temperature control and safety features.

The easy to read colour LCD display shows real-time progress of measured vacuum to help user monitor progress of the drying sample. The interior chamber is made from 304 stainless steel with a mirror polished finish making for easy cleaning and includes an inert gas inlet. Adjustable shelves offer added flexibility to accommodate various size containers.

The exhaust valve switching and pump switch come with an electromagnetic valve controller which is safe and reliable. The ovens offer user friendly and reliable operation while at the same time conserving vacuum pump power. The Being Controller provides programmability for 7 periods and 9 steps for each period making for a total of 63 programmable steps

The BOV series consists of three models. The chamber sizes are 0.9 ft3, 1.8 ft3 and 3.2 ft3. The temperature range is from 10°C above ambient to 200°C 50097pr@reply-direct.com

Next-Generation Hotplate-Stirrer with Innovative IR Heating Technology

Innovative infrared heating technology from Wiggens has been used to produce the new generation hotplate-stirrer WH260 series. These laboratory stirrers are extremely well suited for gentle to intensive mixing of liquids, whilst concurrently quickly heating the liquids or simply keeping them at a steady temperature. The maximum temperature on the top plate allows up to 500ºC.

Infrared heating (IR) technology provides a high temperature hot plate stirrer with very high heating density that can reach a high median temperature. Ceramic glass by Schott combines chemical resistance, top quality surfaces and resistance to temperature shocks of greater than 700ºC.

By selecting an external temperature sensor, the control mode will switch automatically, allowing the sample temperature to be set and controlled directly. The sealed outer shell and isolated critical parts are designed for enhanced longevity, even in a harsh laboratory environment. The 3 sets of PID parameters means faster heating effect and better temperature stability are achieved.

A large LCD display is used to show and control all functions. The control panel sets working temperature, stirring speed, working time and safety temperature easily via rotating knobs. The memory function for stirring speeds and temperature settings provides convenience for experiments with fixed conditions.

Two models are available in this series: the WH260-H with square top plate, 180×180mm, 1000W, for general applications; the WH260-R with round top plate, φ135mm, 800W, for parallel applications.

New Tube Furnaces Launched Carbolite Gero have launched their new range of high quality laboratory tube furnaces.

Over the last 18 months Carbolite Gero’s team of product specialists, industrial designers and skilled engineers have worked tirelessly to develop a versatile new range of universal, split & gradient tube furnaces.

These new tube furnaces boast high-quality heating elements and an innovative thermal insulation design which is the result of over 80 years of experience in thermal engineering. They deliver unrivalled performance with rapid heating & cooling as well as outstanding temperature uniformity. In addition, they require signifi cantly reduced power consumption over previous models and can all be used either horizontally or vertically. Their solid construction and high-quality components ensure users will see a signifi cant return on their investment.

The new Carbolite Gero laboratory tube furnaces have been designed with total fl exibility in mind. Slide-in accessory work tubes and the use of tube adapters allow a single furnace to accommodate a variety of tube diameters, whilst the work tubes themselves can easily be exchanged to meet the different physical or chemical requirements of a process.

Optional work tube packages enable users to equip their tube furnace for operation under vacuum or with a modifi ed gas atmosphere. Carbolite Gero’s gas packages optimise the inert atmosphere inside the work tube. Allowable gases are: nitrogen, argon or carbon dioxide. Should you require hydrogen a Carbolite Gero gas safety system will also be needed for safe operation.

Whether you require a single or three-zone universal tube furnace (TF Range), a split tube single or three-zone furnace (TS Range) or a gradient tube furnace (TG Range) with two or three heated zones then the new comprehensive range of tube furnaces from Carbolite Gero are outstanding candidates for your organisation.

In answer to a growing demand to reduce carbon footprints, LTE Scientific has developed a range of sustainable eco-drying cabinets which will significantly reduce power usage (and therefore running costs) when compared to a standard glassware drying cabinet.

Complete with digital temperature controller and electronic 7-day timer, the eco-Drying Cabinet range is designed to offer market leading operational efficiencies over standard drying cabinets yet remain economically priced.

Available in 2 sizes of 100 and 180 litres, the eco-Drying Cabinet range is fully insulated on 5 sides and is supplied with glass sliding doors.

In tests, the DL100E model used only 0.1kWh to get from 22°C to 60°C and then only 0.125kWh thereafter to maintain that temperature. At a constant 75°C the DL100E only used 0.188kWh.

LTE’s hygienic Sterling anti-bacterial coating is used on all the outer casings, whilst all interiors are manufactured from stainless steel. The range also comes with 2 years warranty as standard for extra peace of mind.
