The ColiMinder, from WVMS GmbH, is an analyser for fully automatic online measurements of bacterial contamination in water, providing a result within 15 minutes, and is used for process monitoring at any stage of a drinking water treatment or distribution process. Microbiological contamination as one of the most important water quality parameters is currently assessed using a manual 1 to 5-day laboratory method.
Introducing the ColiMinder as a process monitoring device, real-time monitoring of microbiological water quality fi rst becomes possible. It can measure microbiological quality of any type of water and is used throughout the water cycle. Many customers in drinking water industry are already using the ColiMinder to monitor production and treatment processes with the aim of optimizing process performance and ensuring drinking water quality.

The fl ow meters use the transit time ultrasonic principle of measurement that works by measuring the fl ight difference for ultrasonic sound pulses transmitted from one transducer to another. The time between transmitted and received signals is precisely measured by the fl ow meters. Both ultrasonic fl ow meters are ideal for measuring the fl ow rate of clean, non- aerated fl uids in full pipes such as water, chemicals, and fuel oils with highly accurate and reliable fl ow measurement.

Unlike other similar meters, the 6PFCE Conductivity/TDS measurements feature
the ability to select from one of three preprogrammed solution models, KCl, NaCl, or Myron L’s own 442 Natural Water™ Standard, or you can program a User solution mode based on a known solution yourself. The result is benchtop accuracy of ±1% of reading in a handheld instrument. Accuracy increases to ±.1% of reading at calibration point. Temperature compensation is automatic to 25°C or can be disabled by the user as required. Autoranging capabilities provide increased reading resolution across a broad range of applications.
pH readings are also temperature compensated, and you can choose to perform a 1-, 2-, or 3-point calibration depending on the range of samples measured to achieve ±.01pH accuracy. The pH sensor is of a proprietary construction and includes a large potassium chloride solution reservoir for long life. ORP measurements utilize a 99.9% pure platinum electrode and a reference junction that is shared with the pH sensor resulting in an accuracy of ±1 millivolt.
In addition, the 6PFCE
features a groundbreaking new way to determine Free Available Chlorine based on a predictive ORP value. Empirical measurements of the chemical activity of a solution are made without the hassle and subjectivity of colorimetric and test-strip methods.
Calibration is easy to perform and is accomplished by simply measuring the appropriate standard solution or buffer in calibration mode and correcting the measured value. Myron L manufactures NIST traceable standard solutions and buffers for this purpose. The 6PFCE dust-tight and waterproof, NEMA 6 submersible, and buoyant. Plus, Myron L service and technical support are included for the life of the product.
