Analytical Instrumentation
C, N, S, Cl in One Single Analysis Cycle With the EA®
Colour measurement of liquids for industry

5000 from Analytik Jena
(Germany) The sulphur, nitrogen and carbon analysis is performed simultaneously and highly sensitively; after which, the chlorine content is automatically measured. This is the first time that all four elements can be automatically identified in one single analysis cycle; however the instrument does not have to be converted for this purpose.
The multi EA® 5000 has a unique
modular principle, which means that the system can be constructed individually. This allows you to configure your multi EA®
Peak Scientific Gas Generators for GC Applications
5000 to meet your needs and requirements; thus creating your personal analysis system. There is no problem if your analytical requirements change, since the modular structure of the multi EA® any time.

The globally unique double furnace technology makes it quick to switch between vertical and horizontal applications in one instrument; i.e., fast and optimum adaptation to the sample matrix and analysis standard with minimal effort. A single multi- purpose combustion tube for both vertical and horizontal use in all standard applications limits the number of switching combustion tubes required.
The flame sensor technology guarantees matrix-optimised and quant- itative combustion. Even unknown samples, whose properties are undoc- umented, can be analysed soot-free, precisely and reliably. Time-consuming method generation and optimisation of process parameters, such as gas flow, temperature, dosing speed are now a thing of the past.
multiWin®
The Self Check System (SCS), unique software and FAST (Fast, Safe
and Tight) connection technology offer convenient operation and reliable measurement results. The multi-matrix sampler for vertical and horizontal applications saves valuable time, as there is no complex conversion, time- consuming connection or adjustment of an additional sampler. The combustion system is unaffected.
Its features include application diversity; analysing solid, paste, fluid, gaseous and LPG samples along with its multi – element characteristic; having C, N, S and Cl determination all in one instrument. It is also a multimatrix sampler; for fully automated determination of solid and fluid samples in vertical or horizontal furnace configuration. In addition, it has double furnace technology; allowing optimal adaptat- ion to the sample matrix and both a vertical and horizontal mode in a single instrument. Included is an extended measuring range with low maintenance, ultra-modern detectors, all the way from ppb to percent, and it has Modular design with the freedom to select and extend your analysis system configuration. It also has a self check system (SCS) for trouble-free operat- ion and flame sensor technology for matrix-optimised sample digestion. Essentially, the multi EA®
5000 is a fast,
safe and convenient analyser offering high precision.

As a gas chromatography user, you will be aware that all GC Applications require Carrier Gas, Make-up Gas and Flame Gas for their operation. The choice of gases is usually determined by the application and the detector required. Safety, as much as cost and availability can also influence the selection of gases, for example high purity Helium can be difficult to obtain in some countries and gas bottles and cylinders can potentially pose Health & Safety Hazards. Many customers have already made the transition from traditional gas supply sources to generators and are now enjoying the benefits, such as gas on demand, of choosing to operate their GC’s with UHP Nitrogen, Hydrogen and Zero Air generators.
Hydrogen Generators
Peak offers Hydrogen Generators with flow rates of 200, 300 and 600cc/min with a purity of 99.9995% and 0-100psi delivery pressure. The Generator Models perform automatic System Checks and Leak Detection at start- up, shutting down the generator if a leak is detected, thus preventing the likelihood of a hazardous situation arising in your laboratory. For convenience, de- ionised water is loaded automatically into the generator through a water pump contained within the unit.
UHP Nitrogen Generators
Peak’s High Purity Nitrogen Generators utilise highly advanced Carbon Molecular Sieve Technology to extract oxygen and moisture from compressed air, providing 99.9995% pure Nitrogen (purity figure based on Oxygen content) and depending on generator model - flow rates are available between 250 and 4,000cc/min at a pressure of up to 80 psi. Ultra High Purity Nitrogen Generators are also available from Peak Scientific with internal air supply, offering a self-contained solution to supply Nitrogen as a Carrier Gas to multiple GCs.
Zero Air Generators
Peak Zero Air Generators help to improve baseline stability whilst reducing the frequency of re-calibration achieved by a low and constant hydrocarbon content of Zero Air. A range of models is available with flow rates up to 30l/min and some models are also available with built in air-compressors.
Maintenance of all Peak gas generators is minimal and straight forward and can be carried out by Peak engineers or our trained and authorised distributors. Maintenance plans are also available, ensuring an uninterrupted supply of gas as well as optimum performance and reliability which we know are vital in today's busy laboratory environment. Peak Scientific Instruments has a mission to provide a safe, convenient and reliable solution for analytical instruments and analysers that require a source of gas for normal operation.
With more than 10 years of experience as a specialist manufacturer of gas generators, Peak Scientific has become a world leader in the field of generator technology for the GC and LC/MS markets, designing, manufacturing and supporting products, which meet and exceed the needs of the analytical instrument industry. Global Service and Support is provided through an extensive network of field service engineers and technical support specialists from Peak and its authorised distributors in over 70 countries.
