Now! New Data Capture Package for On-line Viscometers
Viscosity measurement specialist Hydramotion Ltd (UK) is pleased to announce the launch of an updated version of its ViscoLink interface software. ViscoLink is an easy-to-use program that enables users of any Hydramotion viscometer to view data, optimize configuration or diagnose faults, all at the touch of a key. The software captures data from any Hydramotion viscometer or signal processor, operating singly or bus-connected in a multidrop configuration, and presents all measured and calculated variables in a highly visible user-friendly format. All parameters and functions are intuitively grouped and accessible via either the function keys or the mouse. Simple navigation combines with appropriate use of colour, clear graphics and unambiguous labels to create an interface that provides all the relevant information at a glance with no need for multiple or repetitive keystrokes.
The main display shows live viscosity, current temperature and temperature-corrected viscosity. Either dynamic or kinematic viscosity can be displayed, with a range of user-selectable units including centipoise or pascal-seconds (for dynamic viscosity), centistokes or square millimetres per second (for kinematic viscosity). Temperature can be displayed in Celsius or Fahrenheit. Other displays provide a comprehensive range of operational and configuration data.
A key feature is the facility to export data to Microsoft® Excel™ for logging and analysis. Included in the package is a preformatted
Excel workbook, which displays logged data in both tabular and chart formats updated in real time. Installed within seconds, the ViscoLink package runs on the Windows™ XP operating system for PC, takes up negligible space on the hard disk and requires minimal system resources. No programming knowledge is required. ViscoLink makes it quick and easy to configure any viscosity measurement system for optimum performance. It also gives the user instant access to a complete set of diagnostic parameters for fault diagnosis or instrument validation purposes, minimising the time, effort and cost involved in any regulatory assessment of calibration and condition.
