PEFTEC 2025: Conference and exhibition on analysis for petrochemical and oil industries comes to Middle East

From 4th-6th November 2025, the 6th PEFTEC, the international conference and exhibition focusing on laboratory and process analysis for the petrochemical and oil industries, will be held in Bahrain. Connected by road to Saudi Arabia with multiple links to surrounding oil-producing regions in the Middle East, Bahrain offers a focal meeting point for industry professionals, including process managers, analytical chemists, inspectors, contract laboratories, quality control managers, instrumentation users, and technicians. Visitors to PEFTEC Middle East will be able to attend three days of presentations on process measurement, analytical solutions, data management, applications, emerging technologies, standards, regulations, policy, compliance and more, delivered by industry experts from around the world. For those needing to source innovative products, cutting-edge solutions and all the information required to stay up-to-date in this rapidly changing industry, PEFTEC Middle East is an unmissable opportunity.

Home to just over half of the world’s oil reserves, the Middle East shapes the global oil market, producing 25 million barrels of crude oil every day. As a result, these regions lead in petrochemicals, too. Only outpaced by China and the United States, Saudi Arabia has the capacity to produce some 17 million tonnes of ethylene each year, for example, accounting for 9% of the global market - and each region is rapidly accelerating operations, building billion-dollar facilities across their jurisdictions. This is a sign of the times; as the world rushes to decarbonise over the coming decades, it is likely that most crude will be given over to petrochemical production instead of fuel.

In Bahrain, PEFTEC 2025 will provide an unparalleled opportunity for attendees to delve into the latest trends and innovations in the analysis and testing of petrochemicals and oil, setting attendees up to make the most of the region’s exciting future. If you don’t want to miss this opportunity, click here to be the first to know when registration opens.

WHEN DIESEL FUEL WAS FIRST CREATED, IT WAS KNOWN AS A BYPRODUCT AND WAS DISCARDED RATHER THAN USED. IT WAS NOT UNTIL RUDOLF DIESEL CREATED AN ENGINE CAPABLE OF USING THE FUEL IN 1894 THAT IT WAS GIVEN A NAME AND A PURPOSE.
