A line of low temperature coolers that provide rapid, low cost cooling of liquids to temperatures as low as -100°C is available from PolyScience. Available in both immersion probe and flow through styles, these compact systems are ideal cooling exothermic reactions, freeze point determinations, freeze drying, impact testing, lyophilisation, and vapour and solvent trapping.


Excellent for trapping, Dewar-type applications, and the rapid cool down of small volumes of liquids, PolyScience Immersion Probe Style Coolers reduce the expense of using dry ice or liquid nitrogen and are capable of reaching temperatures as low as -100°C. A flexible hose allows convenient placement of the cooling probe. Seven different models as well as a variety of probe types are available.


Capable of reaching temperatures as low as -25°C, PolyScience Flow-Through Style Coolers are ideal for extending the temperature range of non-refrigerated circulators to below ambient as well as boosting the cooling capacity of refrigerated circulators. These coolers also offer an extremely economic alternative to tap water cooling of heated circulating baths when rapid cool-downs or operation at or near ambient is needed.

New ULT Freezer Series makes Sample Storage Future-proof


Based on the reliable and durable Innova U725/ -G models, the new CryoCube F740 series by Eppendorf makes ULT sample storage future-proof.


An increased capacity of 740 L/ 576x boxes, improved energy efficiency without sacrificing temperature accuracy, and a considerable noise reduction create a safe storage environment. Options such as air-cooling or water-cooling, right-handed or left-handed doors, and three or five interior compartments set new benchmarks for user demands.


The CryoCube F740 is network-compatible and can be monitored through smart Eppendorf VisioNize® systems, directly at the device’s touchscreen or flexibly at a computer or tablet in the office.

ADVERTORIAL PRESTO A45 and A45t


Thanks to highly efficient technology and powerful components, the process circulators PRESTO A45 and A45t are suited for particularly demanding temperature controls tasks in laboratories and industrial plants; for example for the temperature control of reactors, material stress tests or temperature simulations.


The units cover a working temperature range from -45°C to +250°C and provide up to 3.4 kW cooling capacity. They are robust and reliable even at ambient temperatures of up to +40°C. The heating capacity of the A45 is 6 kW and double for the A45t at 12 kW. This permits these two highly dynamic temperature control systems to compensate exothermic and endothermic reactions extremely fast.


The units are equipped with powerful, maintenance-free pumps delivering up to 3.2 bar pressure and a flow rate of up to 80 l/min. This guarantees high flow rates and constant pressure. The pump dynamically compensates for changes of the bath fluid’s viscosity. The pump performance can be controlled either in four stages or via a preset pressure value.


The A45 and A45t are operated easily and interactively via an integrated 5,7’’ industrial colour touch screen. The units are constructed to save space; the sides have no unwanted vents or connections. Thus the footprint is reduced to a minimum. This permits placing the PRESTO close to other units or integrating them in a process plant.


Extensive interfaces allow for flexible application, e.g. control and regulation via USB interface, data logging via USB or SD card, and integration into bus solution (e.g. Profibus) remote control via Ethernet networks or wireless control with the WirelessTEMP solutions by Julabo.
