New Incubator Brochure from Carbolite


There’s a new brochure from Carbolite providing details on all of our life science products.


Featured inside are both the Peak Natural Convection and the Peak Fan Convection Incubators with standard sizes starting at 27 litres and available up to 800 litres. The Peak Cooled Incubator range for operation from 0°C to 60°C is also described.


Carbolite is able to modify and build fully bespoke products to our customer’s specific requirements. Illustrated in the brochure are some of the bespoke life science chambers that Carbolite have built.

Product Brochure - GFL Deep Freezers for Trouble- Free Long-Term Storage


The GFL Deep Freezer programme includes Chest and Upright Freezers with capacities ranging from 30 to 500 litres volume. There are 12 Chest Freezers with six different volumes, respectively, six Upright Freezers having three different storage volumes. Both of these product groups are designed for temperature ranges of 0°C to -40°C or -50°C to -85° C.


GFL Deep Freezers are manufactured using only stringently tested materials suitable for ultra-low temperatures and are equipped with microprocessor technique and an interface module for remote control via PC. All GFL Deep Freezers have the CE mark and are tested according to the German Equipment Safety Law.

Managing the Cold Chain


Helping you to cost effectively manage the cold chain from aseptic manufacture through to delivery to the patient.


Vaccines and some cytotoxic drugs can be rendered ineffective or lose efficacy if they are stored above 8°C. Traditional methods of cold chain management rely on data loggers and time consuming manual recording of temperatures.


TimestripPlus™ from Helapet is the only device that can effectively record a breach in the cold chain and indicate the length of time that the breach occurred.


TimestripPlus™ is a simple single use device that can be attached to any temperature sensitive drug or vaccine using the adhesive backing. Once activated at room temperature, the irreversible temperature indicators will not only record any breaches in the cold chain temperature, but will also record the length of time that a product has spent outside the required temperature range up to a maximum of eight hours. TimestripPlus™ is an extremely useful indicator to use where drugs are manufactured in pharmacy, placed in a refrigerator for storage and later transported to wards or other hospital departments. Using TimestripPlus™ ensures confidence that a product has not been exposed to a breach in temperature throughout the manufacturing and transportation process and costly drugs that are unused could be returned to the fridge for reissue.


TimestripPlus™ has been independently validated and will provide cumulative temperature breach information easily showing if the product has risen above 12°C and for how long.

New Features of Data Acquisition and Display Stations


The latest version of Yokogawa's DXAdvanced DAQSTATION range of data acquisition and display stations - the DXAdvanced R4 - features a number of new enhancements including an advanced security option that provides 21CFR Part 11 compliance, multi-batch capabilities, a PROFIBUS interface and the new DAQManager data management software. The advanced security option (/AS1) incorporates all the features required to provide secure electronic records to comply with the US Food & Drug


Administration's 21CFR Part 11 standard, including controlled system access, active directory password management, electronic signatures, and an audit trail. Two models are available: the DX1000 with a 5.5-inch LCD panel and up to 12 input channels, and the DX2000 with a 10.4-inch LCD panel and up to 48 input channels. The new models also feature high-capacity internal storage, with 400 Mbyte of secure non-volatile flash memory to support uninterrupted recording of more data over longer time periods.


The multi-batch function allows the user to record pre-defined channel groups to separate data files with independent start and stop control. Up to six batches can be created on the DX1000 and up to 12 on the DX2000.


DXAdvanced R4 offers custom display screens that allow the user to freely arrange field displays along with trend curves, bar graphs and other visuals. DAQStudio builder software can be used to create and edit custom display screens on a PC. The new DAQManager software allows the user to manage measured data from the DXAdvanced DAQSTATION and Yokogawa's MVAdvanced family of paperless recorders on a PC. Data loaded onto DAQManager can be quickly and easily searched by data/time, tag name, batch name and other criteria.
