Incubators, Freezers & Cooling Equipment Efficient Laboratory and Process Chillers
SP Scientific offers a wide range of compact and quiet recirculating chillers with heat removal rates from 1050 W (3580 Btu/hr) to 24,000 W (81,910 Btu/hr) and temperature ranges from -90°C to +150°C.
Providing years of reliable cooling for your critical laboratory reactions or production process an optimised SP Scientific chiller is available to suit your application. SP Scientifics’ recirculating chillers provide highly efficient and cost effective heat removal by means of a constant flow of clean temperature controlled fluid.
SP Scientifics’ range of recirculating chillers is proven for 24/7 operation whether controlling at a specific set point or temperature cycling your process. Low temperature chillers are available to eliminate costly and awkward expendable refrigerants such as liquid nitrogen and dry ice. Built on a foundation of advanced thermal engineering, all SP Scientific recirculating chillers feature highly reliable, low temperature performance, with robust, easy-to-use controls backed by unmatched application and implementation support.
Ultra Low Temp recirculating chillers are available in 4 different configurations with a variety of temperature ranges starting at -90C and going up to +150C depending on options selected. The compact, floor standing ULT range are ruggedly designed for continuous operation and provide up to 11,590 BTU/hour heat removal capacity.
The Maxi Cool is a compact recirculating chiller that offers a standard temperature range of -15 to +35C (option -40C to +75C) and up to 1.5 ton of refrigeration capacity. Centrifugal pumps are standard and positive displacement pumps are available as options to meet most cooling requirements.
Ultra Cool recirculating chillers offer a temperature range of -40 to +130C (range varies by model) and a cooling capacity of up to 24000 watts (81910 BTU/hour). Systems are available with centrifugal or turbine type pumps. The rugged Ultra Cool chiller design is focused on providing users with 24/7 continual operation.
Where space is at a premium the RS Series of recirculating chillers are bench top recirculating chillers with a maximum low of -10C (-40C for low temperature systems) and a maximum high of +35C (+75C high temperature option).

Vials for Small Volume Cryogenic Samples Introduced
With the increased demand for personalised medicine, the growth in the cryopreservation of biological samples has increased dramatically in recent years and continues today.
This increase has created the need for secure, reliable and cryogenically certified vials to provide safe, long-term storage and secure shipping of samples. In response to this demand, Wheaton introduces its CryoELITE® for preserving and shipping small volume samples.
0.5mL Vials
These vials are specifically designed for storing biological specimens at cryogenic temperatures with a high integrity closure, freestanding design and a larger footprint to assure the vials can be clearly marked for identification. Ideal for optimising sample recovery, the CryoELITE 0.5mL Vials provide the convenience and security researchers require when they collect, store and ship biospecimens derived from humans, animals and plants.
0.5mL Vials are manufactured from low binding, cryogenic-grade virgin polypropylene that meets USP Class VI classification. The externally threaded cap has been pressure tested to withstand 15 pounds per square inch, which exceeds DOT and IATA requirements for diagnostic specimen packaging and transport, and maintains a secure seal during repeated freeze/thaw procedures.
CryoELITE®
Lot-tested and certified free of pyrogens, RNase/DNase and endotoxins, the vials offer a storage temperature range of 196˚C to 121˚C. CryoELITE®
0.5mL Vials are packaged and shipped sterile in cases containing 10 bags of 50 vials.
For additional productivity, Wheaton CryoELITE 0.5mL Vials accommodate 2D Data Matrix Bar Code Bottom Inserts, which can be securely snapped into place in the bottom of each vial providing individual and permanent sample identification. CryoELITE vials can be conveniently stored in Wheaton KeepIT®
81 Boxes; durable freezer boxes with
bottom openings that allow vials fitted with 2D Data Matrix Bar Code Bottom Inserts to be scanned without removal from the box.

New Vibration Free Chilling Incubators with 100 Litre Capacity
Torrey Pines Scientific announces new Larger EchoTherm™ vibration free bench top chilling incubators that are ideal for protein crystallography and other life science laboratory uses. The incubators are 100 litre capacity and are Peltier-based for heating and chilling. They have no compressors or CFC's and are vibration- free making them ideal for doing protein crystallisations.
Other applications include incubating marine samples below room temperature, enzyme reactions and deactivations, hybridisations, ligations, storing oocytes, and general lab incubations.
There are two models. The IN55 is fully programmable and the IN50 is simple digital. Chamber size for both is 100 litres. They are settable from 4.0ºC to 70.0ºC and feature PID temperature control to ± 0.1°C, digital display to 0.1°C, and accuracy to ± 0.2ºC. They have RS232 I/O port for remote control and data collection, digital timer in hours, minutes and seconds with user settable Auto-Off, temperature ramping on programmable models, and audible alarms.
Chamber size is 24" high by 20" deep by 14" wide and come with eight stainless steel racks with room for twelve. Racks are split, front to back, in the middle for variety of sample sizes.
The units are shipped with universal power supplies that take AC line inputs from 100VAC to 265VAC, 50/60 Hz and converts that to 12 volts DC for the unit, AC line cord for the country of use, user's manual and full 12-month warranty.
The IN50 and IN55 are UL, CSA, and CE compliant. MORE INFO. 67
