TOC/TNb Determination In Highly Saline Water


In many areas of application – extending far beyond drinking and waste water analysis – a fast and reliable


TOC/TNb determination is required. Especially samples with an extreme matrix (such as sea water, brines, concentrated acids and lyes) impose high requirements on the TOC analysers operating in accordance with the principle of catalytic high temperature incineration.


However, it is possible to significantly increase the maintenance cycles resulting from the matrix of these samples on the TOC analyser by using optimised combustion control as well as combustion tube filling with consistently stable analysis results.


Thanks to the freely selectable combustion temperature in wide ranges as well as the robust and simultaneously sensitive dimensioning of the Focus Radiation NDIR detector of the multi N/C®

The High-Speed TOC multi N/C®


was developed for


an extremely high sample throughput. A wide range of autosamplers is available for the automation of the analyser. High-throughput labs are using


samplers with a capacity of up to 116 samples; users with small amounts of samples are using the small, inexpensive autosamplers.


The integrated sample homogenisation (stirring), the automatic acidification and purge out features turn your autosampler into an all-rounder for sample preparation and feeding. While one sample is analysed, the next one is already under preparation. Thus, it can analyse twice as many samples. Not only the TOC determination is fast: From a single injection you get


both TOC and TNb results without any conversion of the instrument, exchange of method or catalyst.
