MEMBER NEWS Local bid writer wins top prize
Leicestershire-based bid writing expert James Kent (pictured), director of Your Tender Team, has been crowned the UK’s Top Sales Adviser for the professional support he provides to businesses and entrepreneurs - helping them to secure contract wins and grow within their industry. He received the honour during a virtual awards
ceremony for the Enterprise Nation Top 50 Advisers Awards – which recognised people across a range of professional disciplines such as legal, finance, technology, HR, PR and marketing – in November. James was picked from hundreds of
advisers from across the UK, after being nominated for the behind-the-scenes guidance he has given to local companies. The support has enabled them to navigate the challenges and opportunities faced during 2020 – with James saying professional advice made the difference between merely surviving and thriving for many clients. compete with larger companies in their sector by offering a tender-writing resource. Often, larger companies can afford to have their own internal bid- writing teams. Our service offers businesses the option of using us when required – keeping down costs and able to directly compete with larger rivals. “We've helped numerous SMEs grow in dramatic
fashion over the years, helping them double and treble their turnover following tender wins. This year in particular, we've helped an increasing number of small companies survive by helping them win public sector tenders when they have seen a huge drop in private
sector work." The Top 50 Advisers Awards are run by the small
businesses network Enterprise Nation – in association with Xero, Dell Technologies and Neat – and set out to highlight the work done by experts across nine professional disciplines. The list of winners in the nine professional categories was compiled following a public vote on the shortlisted Top 50 SME- nominated advisers, with almost 4,000 votes cast over a two-week period. Collecting the award, James said:
“This is the one award we really wanted as it recognises our firm’s achievements in advising clients on over £2bn worth of tender wins in the UK. Our advice and success leads to growth for clients, new job opportunities and can also help
transform local areas following a tender win.”
