Coachathon helps female empowerment in Africa

Donation assists Barnardo’s services


AF International, part of the HK Wentworth Group, has continued its 12-year charitable partnership with Barnardo’s by donating a batch of anti-bacterial products to help the charity safely deliver crucial services. The company, based in Ashby-


de-la-Zouch, has manufactured industry-leading, specialist cleaning and sanitising products for over 50 years. Barnardo's children's services manager Jane Richardson said: “The donation of wipes has come in incredibly handy in helping us to continue providing our services to young carers, and ensuring the safety of our service users and project workers.”


Liz Walkley, of Empowering Insights, has been coaching individuals to raise money to support female empowerment in south-east Africa. Liz took part in a


“coachathon” in November to raise money for MicroLoan, giving up her time to offer a number of career coaching sessions to individuals wishing to overcome challenges and find direction. Overall, a total of £13,275 was raised. Organised by the Women


Leaders Association, 39 coaches delivered 446 one-to-one coaching sessions – channelling their expertise in a number of areas including career transitions, leadership and wellbeing. MicroLoan is a poverty alleviation and women’s
