Battlefi eld Live at Jimmy’s Farm
Battlefi eld Live games take place in a wooded campaign area adjoining the den building zone at Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park. Although this type of gaming is traditionally known as ‘laser tag’, the Battlefi eld Live equipment features an infra-red system which is completely eye-safe, has no laser components and is incredibly accurate with red dot scope technology. While the concept is similar to paintball gameplay, there are no pellets, projectiles or need to wear heavy protective equipment. Players are divided into
two teams and issued with combat gear and camouflage face paint. After a safety and
equipment briefi ng, you head to the game zone for a series of games arranged by trained staff.
No special skills are needed - the gaming kit is easy to use and all you need to do is turn up in outdoor clothes and sensible footwear ready for some fun. The equipment has
realistic sound effects, shows your individual score after each game and is extremely accurate – it’s impossible to cheat! Since starting at the farm in 2013, thousands of players have taken part in Battlefi eld Live. While a popular choice for parties, it’s also suitable for schools, sports groups, community groups, hens, stags and corporate events.
Available all year round, sessions generally start with a minimum of 10 players but can cater for as many as 50. There’s an arsenal of more than 100 gaming weapons at Battlefi eld Live’s disposal, so large groups can always be accommodated.
The gaming activity has a simple all-inclusive price of £17.50 per person and there is a discount for prepaid online booking. Plus, all players get free access to the farm and wildlife park on the day of their visit. There’s a take-away food
menu available for gamers from the Field Kitchen in the main courtyard with hot and cold drinks.
