Weddings

spring - a cool and fresh start to the year. We oſt en use eucalyptus and love the lasting aroma; we based our invitations on this plant and it made an appearance in all our fl owers, including the bouquet.

How did you know that your wedding dress was ‘the one’? What about the shoes and accessories? I had such peace walking into the bridal boutique and I honestly felt as though the owner had all the time in the world for me - we talked and laughed. Knowing that our wedding would be at Jimmy’s Farm, I didn’t feel the need to wear a huge trailing gown and large veil, but still wanted elegance. My dress reminds me of the style women wore in the 40s; it was comfortable and, when I leſt the boutique, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. No other dresses that I tried aſt er that came close - that’s how I knew! T e shoes were a similar 40s style and from Italy. Who knew that fi nding fl at wedding shoes would be such a task?

What did you do to make your wedding personal to you both? Making as many of the props ourselves, we took pleasure in designing the table plan, where guests can leave cards, and handwritten notes on the wedding favours to each guest, letting them know how special it was to us that they were sharing in our wedding day. Also, each table number represented something in our life together, for example ‘Table 5’ represented the amount of times we had visited the farm.

Totally Wild, Totally Unique Weddings

The farm hosts the most amazing wedding celebrations across East Anglia.

What favours did you give to your guests, if any? [Natasha] T ose close to me know that I love baking for friends and family. We purchased clip jars and measured all the dry ingredients for a favourite cookie dough - our guests just had to add butter and eggs to be on their way to making the biscuits.

What was your most memorable part of the day? For me it most defi nitely would be when standing in the tent and looking back at Natasha walking in towards me.

What song did you have as your fi rst dance? At Last - Etta James

On such a momentous day, you deserve nothing but the best of local food and a little bit of countryside living.

A relaxed and beautifully rural venue that offers everything you dream of and now taking bookings for 2021, 2022 and 2023.
