It certainly has been the most extraordinary of times. As the nation locked down and doors closed around the country, the Farm and Wildlife Park had no choice but to continue with the critical care of all our animals.


In fact, life here has continued at a frenetic pace with new arrivals almost every day – from spring lambs to two beautiful reindeer calves. T ese days have certainly been busy for the park rangers, who not only threw themselves into essential maintenance and upkeep but have also been taking part in a prime-time Channel 4 series.

‘Spring at Jimmy’s Farm’ gave everyone stuck inside the chance to see what was going on in the countryside and to enjoy watching our awesome animals, who’ve been carrying on as normal. It was eventful to say the least! Our escapee meerkat Steve McQueen, who kept evading the rangers, and a rejected Cameroon lamb, who had to be hand-reared throughout the night.


We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did, and we have some very exciting news to announce – the TV cameras will be back to catch up with life for our animals and dedicated team and we can’t wait! Will sneaky Steve try to escape from his enclosure again or will we outwit him? You’ll have to watch and discover what he and all our other wonderful creatures have been getting up to.


Life has and will continue as we all open our doors once again. Our animals literally can’t wait to see you all again – here’s to a very bright future!
