Weddings
the Countryside Celebrate in
Hannah and Jack’s wedding at Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park on 14 September 2019. Rustic, romantic and a ton of fun... an intimate ceremony, perfect in every way, and a reception party for 140 guests with untold stories to tell.
Tell us about the proposal! We had been together for six years at this point, so I knew it was possible that Jack was going to propose at some time, but I didn’t know when or where. Jack took me away to my old university town, which is where we spent a lot of time during our fi rst few years of our relationship. We went to a spot where we had one of our fi rst dates and that’s where he proposed.
When did you start to plan your wedding?
We were looking at venues soon aſt er we got engaged, but we didn’t book Jimmy’s Farm for a good few months aſt er. Both of us knew we wanted a relaxed wedding

and wanted
something rustic in the countryside, so Jimmy’s fi tted that bill perfectly. We made all decisions together, but Hannah was defi nitely addicted to Pinterest, which gave us lots of ideas.
Tell us a bit more about your day. Both of us struggle with the limelight on us, so we decided to keep the ceremony small and intimate - we had just our closest friends and family for the ceremony. T is was defi nitely the right decision for us as it was so nice being surrounded by the people we love the most. T e reception was a lot bigger with 140 guests which meant we could really celebrate.
Where did you source your suppliers? We did a lot of research and DIY projects. We wanted to have a really memorable and special day, however, we knew we didn’t want to spend

more money than we had. Fortunately, we have a lot of talented family and friends. Katie Louise Stationery is a great friend to us and is an incredible graphic designer, so she did our invites. We have keen gardeners and bakers in our families, which meant they helped us with the fl owers and cakes. We did, however, get our bouquet fl owers from T e Triangle Nursery who are local to Ipswich and supplied us with the most beautiful fl owers. T e band made the wedding; we still get comments now about how good the band was.
How did you choose your venue? Jimmy’s Farm was just so individual and we did not know of anyone else who had got married there. We visited and just loved the place - from how unique it was, being able to go round the farm, and the idyllic setting so close to Ipswich.
