hile many of us were having to catch glimpses of blossom and wildlife

through windows and from back gardens during the early stages of lockdown, the season burst into life onto the nation’s screens in Spring at Jimmy’s Farm. We were absolutely thrilled when

Channel 4 decided to commission Red Sky with Parky Productions to deliver a fast turn-around TV series following Jimmy and our small team of essential workers as they continued to care for our animals behind the scenes in what have been the toughest of times. Jimmy’s Farm, which spans 140

acres, isn't just home to pigs and sheep – there’s also a beautiful woodland and a wildlife park full of exotic animals, including crocodiles, capybaras and tropical butterfl ies, which would usually have been teeming with families in the run-up to the Easter holidays. Spring at Jimmy’s Farm off ered our

fans and viewers nationwide unique access behind the scenes to see what the animals get up to away from prying eyes, and how our dedicated team of eight skeleton staff have provided critical care for them in very diffi cult circumstances. Explaining how the programme

suddenly came about, Jimmy says, “I was meant to be fi lming Food Unwrapped along with a show about helping to save bees, but lockdown changed everything.
