DE.CO, a launchpad for chefs and a haven for eaters, is a contemporary food hall in downtown Wilmington. Unique restaurant stalls, an atrium bar and private event space are all set in the historic art deco DuPont Building that is in the heart of the city. The POP-UP is a kitchen for chefs to test new recipes, meet new customers and join a new community. Bi-weekly to monthly throughout the year, POP-UP will host new chefs and their team, creating new menus and flavors. DE.CO is a gathering place in downtown for community events both big and small and also is available for private events.

Wilmington’s historic Hotel Du Pont has reimagined its famed Green Room restaurant, which had remained virtually unchanged for around 100 years. The new restaurant, opening in its place this spring, will be called Le Cavalier. The hotel is a 217-room historic property and was purchased in 2017 by real estate developer Buccini/Pollin Group, which is spearheading the restaurant's modern makeover.

Wilmington offers a variety of options, from scenic nature walks to ever-changing art exhibitions to themed summer festivals.

The DuPont Environmental Education Center (DEEC) is a wildlife escape where the city, river and marsh meet. The DEEC features a 10-acre garden park with flower garden path, a quarter-mile pond loop through a freshwater marsh, and a four-story education center with panoramic views.

Not to be missed, the New Castle Court House Museum was built in 1732 and served as Delaware’s first court and state capitol. Guided tours and exhibitions at the museum are available.

The annual Holy Trinity Greek Festival transports visitors to the Old Country with authentic Greek food, music and dance each summer.
