The town of Ocean City, Maryland has recently experienced a building boom with new properties opening and major renovations to several of its existing properties, adding up to more than 10,000 hotel rooms and over 28,000 condominiums in the area.


Aloft Hotels, in partnership with East Coast hospi- tality specialists Blue Water Development and Real Hospitality, has opened the Aloft Ocean City, which offers a design-driven, tech-forward approach to modern hospitality. This 120-room hotel is located on the bayside of the barrier island, and features an outdoor tiki bar as well as the adjoining BayVista Event Center. Guests can sip signature cocktails and sample a full American bar menu at its W XYZ® bar, and enjoy live music from the brand’s Live at Aloft Hotels music pro- gram.

Hyatt Place Ocean City/Oceanfront is a 105-room hotel located directly on the boardwalk. Its spacious guestrooms all have balconies with an ocean view, and the hotel features up- scale architecture, plus a comfortable, sleek and modern design. It boasts an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, oversized fitness center, more than 1,500-square feet of meeting space, and a coffee to cocktails bar with a veranda that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean.


Harrison Group Resort Hotels and Restaurants in Ocean City offers 11 unique oceanfront hotels with options that include ocean and beach views, spacious suites, jacuzzi tubs and galley kitchens, oversized efficiency units with fully-equipped kitchenettes, as well as guest rooms - most with private balconies or terraces.


The Grand Hotel offers 251 guestrooms, indoor and outdoor swimming pools with a pool bar, fitness center and saunas, and a newly remodeled game room.


The Carousel has 326 hotel rooms with a view of the ocean and bay. The hotel is home to a year-round indoor ice-skating rink that hosts complimentary professional ice shows dur- ing the summer season. The hotel is home to several forms of dining, including a seasonal outdoor bar and grill, a year-round oceanfront restaurant, casual atrium deli, and a candy and ice cream shop.
