The Eastern Shore of Maryland is known for its seafood, and visitors can enjoy everything here from an all-you-can-eat crab house to oysters prepared in various ways to an outside dining experience on a restaurant deck overlooking the water. But Wicomico County also boasts a wide variety of ethnic cuisine, serving up everything from Japanese to Jamaican to Mexican and more.


Savor the latest vintage from Bordeleau Vineyards and Winery or explore the beer-making process at one of Wicomico County’s local breweries. Evolution Craft Brewing Company and Tall Tales Brewing both produce beer in Wicomico County.

The Wicomico Civic Center, Wicomico County’s versatile centerpiece, offers a 30,000-square foot arena with spectator seating for up to 6,000 people, a 10,000-square foot auxiliary area, 10 meeting rooms, plus in-house catering. The center hosts conventions, trade shows, meetings, social events, live music, family entertainment and more year round.


The venue completed a $3-million renovation in 2018, which included installation of new seating, carpeting, lighting fixtures, ceilings and signage throughout the building. The newest addition to the Wicomico Civic Center is a large, full-color electronic marquee that displays event information outdoors. The venue also owns a new hardwood court.


A Maryland university of national distinction, Salisbury University offers a variety of meeting spaces on campus. The Commons at the University provides over 17,000-square feet of meeting space along with dining areas. Rooms in other buildings can be reserved, as well.


The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, which features the world's largest decoy collection, is dedicated to exhibiting, collecting and promoting wildfowl art and related materials. Event space is available at the museum for a one-of-a-kind experience. The recent addition of the John A. Luetkemeyer Sr. and Thomas F. Mullan Jr. Legacy Center adds more than 2,000-square feet to the museum and has a variety of possible uses for events.


Wicomico County also is home to the Delmarva Shorebirds, a minor league baseball team and affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. Arthur W. Perdue Stadium is available on non-game days and during the off-season for events. The stadium can accommodate groups from 20 to 2,000 for corporate events, seminars, receptions, parties and more. A 360-degree deck that wraps around the outfield opened in 2019.


The Fountains Wedding and Conference Center offers elegance along with modern amenities and state-of-the-art multimedia capabilities for groups of over 400 people in a variety of settings.


Kylan Barn is nestled on 35-acres in a picture-perfect country setting in Delmar. The barn can accommodate 240 guests and is available for both corporate and private events.


The Southern Venues offers another barn venue option in the countryside of Delmar - Southern Belle, which can hold up to 240 guests and also has outdoor space.
