site is approved Doncaster Council has approved construction of an advanced manufacturing and logistics development located at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, (DSA) one of the largest strategic development zones in the Yorkshire region, owned and managed by regeneration business, Peel L&P. This development will be a crucial element in
the delivery of the masterplan for Doncaster Sheffield Airport which sets out a vision to see passenger numbers soar, making DSA one of the most significant aviation assets in the UK. The scheme will create around 4,300 jobs and deliver up to 3.5 million sq ft of state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing and logistics floorspace. Gareth Finch, Planning Director for Investment

forecasts for year two predict an impressive 170% increase in revenue and 158% increase in profit with turnover up by 170% to 2.7m. In addition, with exceptional service standards, the firm has achieved 100% client retention, with 90% of candidates rating its service at 8/10 or above and over 80% of candidates recommending the company. A major element of Orb’s ethos is supporting
Doncaster’s economy, community and environment, with the company helping to fill hundreds of vacancies for local employers. It has also supported over 250 Doncaster residents to achieve sustainable long-term employment in the last 12 months, which equates to direct wealth creation of £755,500 in wages/income.
The company, which has its headquarters in
Balby Carr and employs nine staff, has supported 42 candidates to improve their skills base by accessing a variety of training courses. The year was topped off at the recent Doncaster Business Awards 2019 where Orb walked away with the Business Start Up of the Year.
