A single pack clear varnish for metal Oxid Vernis is a long-lasting clear varnish to decorate, protect and weatherproof metal surfaces. It is suitable for use on new metals as well as oxidised metals that have previously been treated with Owatrol Oil and where the natural rusted look of the surface is to be maintained.
Why should I use Oxid Vernis? Oxid Vernis has high UV resistance and is especially developed for optimal performance in harsh climates, lasting well when exposed to rain, snow, fog, salt water etc. It expands and contracts with the structure meaning no peeling or flaking and it’s washable too.
Oxid Vernis is perfect for using on interior and
exterior metals such as gates, furniture, fences, ornaments etc and can be used on horizontal or vertical surfaces with ease, whilst maintaining the natural appearance of the substrate.
How do I apply Oxid Vernis? First apply a coat of Owatrol Oil to your surface as a primer. Oxid Vernis is then applied in two coats using a brush, roller or spray, allowing 24 hours drying time in between each coat and a light sanding.
