Supply chain solutions provider The NX Group has rolled out Road Tech’s Roadrunner Driver app across its drivers, increasing the efficiency of the delivery process via a sophisticated system that benefits staff and customers. The NX Group operates a

dedicated fleet manned by fully DBS-checked drivers, who are responsible for ensuring deliveries nationwide. Prior to the app’s installation, the firm had relied on paperwork proof of deliveries. These were processed following the driver’s return to the firm’s base, which meant any issues or feedback could only be investigated post-delivery. Under the new system, all

delivery jobs are booked onto Roadrunner, The NX Group’s transport management system.

achievement for a business to continue to be successful 30 years after it was launched. “We have lots of customers

who have been with us for many years and I think this is down to our reliability. Our customers have confidence in us to deliver what they have asked of us.” The firm supplies low loader

These then become manifest and form the driver’s itinerary for the day, enabling the driver to see at a glance the collection point, delivery point and address, recipient’s contact details and a brief description of the order. Peter Connolly, IT and project manager at The NX Group, said:

“Crucially, upon arrival at the goods’ destination, the driver can enter comments relating to pallet or job discrepancies: and, where relevant, these can be supported by photographs uploaded on the spot.”
