ARTEMIS PAVES THE WAY FOR A REASONABLE CLAIMS PROCESS


When an incident occurs on the highway, it is Highways England – or their network of contractors – who repair the damage and then claim from the relevant insurance company. Each contract awarded by Highways England has been different,


making the individual contractor responsible for reclaiming from the insurance companies when incidents occur. Since 2010, Artemis has been adjusting these claims, working alongside a team of experienced civil and structural engineers. The team at Artemis has found that significant savings could be made, sometimes in excess of 50%. According to director Julia Hewett the inflated costs have been quite shocking. She said: “We have recently dealt with a case on behalf of a UK haulage company, following one of their HGVs catching fire on a section of the M6. Due to our engineer’s findings, we were able to agree settlement at £11,047.60, resulting in a saving of £13,318.52 for our client.”
