NEW HEALTH AND SAFETY DIVISION
Acorn Analytical Services Ltd has launched a new Health & Safety division. The division is SSiP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) accredited through SMAS Worksafe as Health and Safety Consultants and CDM Advisors. Staff are members of the Association for Project Safety, International Institute of Risk & Safety Management and Chartered Institute of Building. They are also qualified fire risk assessors and NEBOSH certified. The division is headed
up by John Crockett (pictured) who has 40 years’ experience in the construction industry, both in the UK and overseas. John said: “Many of our clients
ask for assistance on this subject as it is difficult for them to concentrate on their core business activities and comply with all the latest legislation.” Services included in this new department include retained health & safety consultant; CDM
Consultant services to client, principal designer and principal contractor, including research and production of PCI’s, assessment of consultants and contractors in line with SSiP requirements, production of the Project H & S File; production of principal contractor documents such as construction phase plans, risk assessments, method statements, fire & emergency plans and associated site documentation; accident and incident
investigations; site health & safety
inspections and audits; fire risk assessments to
commercial or domestic properties (landlord’s responsibility); landlord’s Legionella assessment; review of existing and production of new health & safety policies; DDA compliance audits for building owners and various training courses.
