DEVEN TAKES ON RUN TO SUPPORT CHOSEN CHARITY
Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce’s policy executive Deven Attwell (pictured) will be taking on the 2019 Northampton Half Marathon to raise vital funds for Age UK Northamptonshire. Deven has completed half marathons in the past and was inspired to
get his running shoes back on for the Chamber’s chosen charity of the year. He will take part in the county’s popular half marathon on 29 September and hopes Chamber members will help him to achieve his fundraising target of £250. Deven, who is also one of the Chamber’s Charity Ambassadors, said:
“I wanted to help Age UK Northamptonshire because it is a brilliant charity which provides support and services to thousands of older people in our county. “The charity is a brand partner of the
national Age UK but is totally independent. It doesn’t receive any centralised funding and any money it raises stays in Northamptonshire. “I’m particularly pleased to be supporting
the charity by taking part in the Northampton Half Marathon which is organised by fellow Chamber member Go Beyond. I know it is working hard to make the half marathon one of the region’s most iconic events and I’m looking forward to running around the county’s stunning countryside and well-known landmarks.” Deven is preparing for the event by running on
average 10k a day and is training at the gym during his lunch breaks.
