ABOUT THIS MAGAZINE: inbusiness is a bi-monthly publication and digital magazine distributed to 6,000 Chamber members and key businesses in Northamptonshire. The publication focuses on news and information about local companies and the initiatives and advice available to increase the prosperity of county firms. I’m very proud to begin this Viewpoint by letting all our members know our Chamber Group has retained its place as the seventh largest direct membership Chamber in the UK, according to the latest figures from the British Chambers of Commerce. Six years ago we were the 30th largest Chamber in
the UK. Today we are ranked seventh because our membership has grown by 76%. This has only happened because we have an extremely proactive membership and are supported by a dedicated team of staff, directors and stakeholders. I’d like to thank each and every one of you – we can all be very proud of this achievement. Another great source of pride for me came in
September when we celebrated with the best businesses in the county at our second annual Northamptonshire Business Awards at Park Inn, Northampton. It was a fantastic evening and it was great to see firms of all sizes and from all sectors receive the recognition they truly deserve from the wider business community. I’d like to offer my heartfelt congratulations to all the

extensive networking calendar. This October we’ll join forces with Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce and our sister Chamber in Milton Keynes to host an additional Meet the Neighbours event. This regular event has been organised in response to demand from our members and will give businesses the chance to forge relationships across more county boundaries. This event booked up incredibly quickly but rest assured we have more in the pipeline!
