RECRUITMENT AGENCY GOES AGAINST THE CURVE
BETTER SERVICE IS ON THE CARDS
A global supplier of ID products has updated its website to offer its customers an even better service. Award-winning ID Card
Centre Ltd, based in Northampton, has launched a new online card ordering page to make it easy for customers to order any quantity of printed ID cards for their business.
Managing director Nicola
One of the fastest growing, privately owned recruitment and HR outsourcers in the country is celebrating its 15th anniversary. The Curve Group was established by
Jeanette Ramsden and Della Wolfe – both of whom had encountered problems when recruiting via agencies in their previous roles as HR and operations directors for major organisations. They knew they could provide a much better service and as a result The Curve Group and the quest to transform working lives was born. A few years later Jeanette and Della were
‘SPECIALISTS
AT THE TOP OF THEIR GAME FROM ACROSS RECRUITMENT AND HR’
joined by Lyndsey Simpson – at the time Lyndsey was a high-flying financial services expert but having become a customer of The Curve Group she was inspired to leave her successful banking career behind and join as a third CEO.
Since those early days, The Curve Group has transformed and is no longer a traditional recruitment search firm – it now supports companies at every stage of an employee’s journey across the entire talent management spectrum. Jeanette Ramsden, CEO, said:
“While our values and drivers for starting the business haven’t changed, the last few years have been
transformational in terms of growth. “We’ve invested heavily in our
infrastructure, established an executive committee which is made up of specialists at the top of their game from across the recruitment
and HR outsourcing and consulting space and developed additional solutions meaning we can support our clients across all of their recruitment and HR needs. We’re really excited to see what the next 15 years will bring!”
REWARDING COLLEGE STUDENTS
Award-winning students were urged to “be bold and aspire for greatness” during a ceremony to celebrate their hard work and success. More than 50 Northampton
College students, including designers, stylists, engineers and apprentices, were honoured at the annual Daventry Campus Awards. The ceremony was held at the
college’s state-of-the-art campus in Badby Road West. Cllr Chris Millar, Leader of
Daventry District Council, congratulated the award winners and told guests: “Be bold, be creative, strive for all you want. This is the time in your life to take risks and aspire for greatness - and I’m once again humbled and impressed by all the students and staff here at Daventry Campus – congratulations to you all.” Most Determined Student award
went to Vritika Mistry, who was commended by her art and design teachers for her ‘can do’ attitude and
love of art. Guests were told that Vritika “works extremely hard, acts upon advice and never gives up”. Jack Shepherd scooped the Best
Apprentice award, having quickly impressed the team at a boutique hair salon where he has now been offered a job. “I want to thank the college and staff for being so supportive and patient,” said Jack, “I am so excited for my future.” Principal of Northampton
College, Pat Brennan-Barrett, said: “These awards are a wonderful and fitting opportunity to celebrate the lives and achievements of our inspirational students, who are helping to make Daventry Campus an incredible place to study.”

O’Brien said: “Some customers are daunted by the prospect of ordering ID cards so we’ve created a simple, user friendly web page which covers all the options our clients want. “They can either design the
cards themselves or ask us to provide the design and manage data for them.” ID Card Centre has been a
leading industry supplier since 1998 and it offers a wide product range to meet the needs of a variety of industries and companies. Nicola added: “We know
physical property security is a 24/7 requirement that can be challenging, regardless of your organisation’s size and the shape of its footprint. Adopting ID cards or another access control system will vastly improve physical security. “Staff ID passes make
identifying unauthorised personnel easy, so they can be stopped as soon as they reach an ID checkpoint. Fraudulently produced ID cards can be prevented by using holographic overlays or security panels. “ID cards can also be included in an access control system if you need to monitor or control entry and exit to your premises. Access control systems on doorways allows you to restrict access to authorised personnel, which is a great way to improve the physical security of your business.”
