FACTFILE: BALLYHOO PR


BACKGROUND: Ballyhoo PR was launched three years ago by Emma Speirs. After studying English and Media Studies at university Emma worked in advertising, publishing and corporate PR. For seven years she was the PR executive at the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce and edited the inbusiness magazine. Emma then worked as a senior account manager for a PR agency before launching Ballyhoo PR.


COMPANY DESCRIPTION: Ballyhoo PR is based in Corby and provides cost-effective PR, social media, copywriting and editing services to small and medium-sized enterprises. In the past year the business has expanded. It has opened a new office in the 3e Hub on Earlstrees Industrial Estate and Emma has been joined by PR executive Katie Graves.

From working at the Chamber for so long, I understood how much being a member can raise your profile and get you in front of local businesses you might not ordinarily be able to get a foot in the door with.”
