NAME: Jane Russell COMPANY: Jane Russell Photography JOB TITLE: Photographer
WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND? I trained as a NCTJ Photojournalist at Richmond College Sheffield then moved to MK for a job on the MK Gazette, and I’ve been around this area working as a photographer on newspapers ever since.
WHAT DOES YOUR COMPANY DO? I provide a photography service for corporate and company websites and marketing and PR images to help promote your business on social media and to help brand awareness
HOW DID IT ALL START? At school I had a friend who was doing a Graphics course and part of it was photography which I really enjoyed and the seed was sown.
WHAT’S YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT SO FAR? Receiving a highly commended in the Free Newspaper Society of the Year Awards and having my pictures from the Luton Marsh Farm Riots printed all around the world.
‘I HAVE
WHAT HAS SURPRISED YOU MOST IN YOUR JOB? Just how interesting the world really is and how you should always keep an open mind.
WORKED WITH MANY PAST
AND PRESENT CHAMBER MEMBERS’
WHICH BUSINESS PERSON OR COMPANY DO YOU MOST ADMIRE, AND WHY? I admire MK Snap in Walnut Tree as they give adults with learning disabilities opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise get, which allows them to find out what amazing skills they actually have.
WHAT EXCITING SERVICES IS YOUR BUSINESS OFFERING AT THE MOMENT THAT YOU WOULD LIKE OUR READERS TO KNOW MORE ABOUT? I have worked with many past and present Chamber members helping them market their companies through the power of the image. I offer a headshot service where I come into your office and take the staff pictures on site, so you don’t have to leave the building, saving time. I cover conferences and events anywhere around the country.
WHAT MADE YOU JOIN MILTON KEYNES CHAMBER? I had worked in Luton for the 20 years prior to being self employed and needed to meet people in Milton Keynes and the MK Chamber has been invaluable in that. I have developed many great relationships with the members and enjoy meeting new business owners.
