brooklands bulletin

Welcome Welcome to this first edition of the

Brooklands Bulletin in our new A4 format. We hope that you enjoy reading it and appreciate all the effort and hard work that has been going on in the background over the last few months to produce it against a tight schedule. We believe the new format has a greater visual impact, allowing larger and more detailed photographs and illustrations, and will also allow us to include more articles, both current and historic. Our new editor, Alisdair Suttie, has

more than 25 years’ experience as a motoring journalist, and was selected from a strong field of candidates. Our new publisher, Nick Hine, and his team at Hine Publications also have a strong background in publishing motoring and club magazines. We look forward to a long and productive relationship with them both. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have been involved in the transition process, especially Martin Gegg, who has taken the lead on behalf of the members, and Tamalie Newbery and her team from the Museum. Robert Hall, our recently retired

publisher, has over 50 years’ experience in the publishing business and has told us that ‘you usually get quite a few things wrong in the first issue, put them right in the second, and get the whole thing right by the third.’ Despite this cautionary mantra, we look forward to receiving your feedback.
