Talks update Our recent sell-out talk on The Italian Job film was a great success with

speakers Michael Deeley, Hazel Collinson, who is the widow of the film’s producer Peter Collinson, and author Matthew Field. Also present was David Salome, who was the stuntman driving the red Mini in the film. Thank you to all who attended and if you missed the evening, you can catch up on BTtv on YoutTube. The Talks Programme is busy for 2019 Autumn season with History of Bugatti by the UK Bugatti Owners Club on 12 September. It’s followed by a two-man show from The Foundry Group to mark Aviation Day on 22 September, which is a play about pioneering aviators Capt John Alcock and Lt Arthur Whitten Brown and their daredevil dash across the Atlantic in a converted Vickers biplane. There will also be an art exhibition by Brooklands Member John Whurr at the same event. On 17 October, Richard Williams and Autocar’s Steve Cropley talk about Electric Vehicles: One Year On. Then, on 31 October, we have Steve Parrish in conversation with Isle of Man TT winner Mick Grant. The 17 November talk is from Harry Sherrard in conversation with Maurice Hamilton on Formula 1, while motorsport journalist David Tremayne is in conversation on 12 December.

It is easy to book tickets for all these forthcoming events. For Classic

Talks contact: talks@brooklandsmembers.co.uk; telephone 07880 670359. For the MotorSport Legends Series, go to brooklandsmuseum.com/ members and follow links for online sales or call Tim or Sarah in the BTM Office: 01932 857381 ext 226.
